| Basic Information | Name || Nathaniel Kingsley Birthday || 04/01/1961 Age || 15 Gender || male Blood Status || Pureblood School || Hogwarts House || Ravenclaw Year || Seventh
Personality || Nate is the kind of person who lights up a room the moment he walks in. He’s always ready with a story or an interesting fact he picked up from one of the many books he has devoured over the years. He’s a bookworm with a preference for textbooks and research journals and can drop the most obscure references or deep insights into the conversation, much to the admiration (or dismay and confusion) of others. He doesn’t always recognize the most subtle of social cues and can seem a bit oblivious as well as scatterbrained. Nate possesses a higher level of intelligence that he doesn’t always see what is right in front of him – he’s the sort who will forget where his keys are while explaining the intricacies of quantum physics or something similar. He’s logical and strategic and enjoys planning, researching and implementing experiments, events or even daily tasks but will often bite off more than he can chew but resists asking for help – he’s smarter than that! Nate has a talent for getting completely absorbed in his interests or hobbies or experiments or research that he loses track of time and priorities. A bit of a dreamer, who wears his heart on his sleeve, Nate is someone who has the potential to be the most dangerous man in the world and needs someone who is grounded in the here and now to keep him level-headed.

Personal Information
| Childhood || Nathaniel Kingsley is the middle child of three boys. He’s the logical brother. The brains of the operation. The one who always plans the practical jokes and instructs his brothers on the best way to execute them – to his mother’s dismay. He’s a good kid, reasonable, sensible, except when there’s no books to read and his brothers decide they are bored or Nate has a new theory or experiment he wants to try. His brothers are always obliging. Nathaniel and his brothers grew up on the coast of Norway along with their cousins. The family is incredibly close with the cousins all living on the same property. The house Nathaniel grew up in is the main manor on the property and an additional two houses were built on as the brothers grew up, moved away and eventually came back to raise their families. He’s enjoyed a lifestyle of luxury and privilege which allowed his young mind to race through book after book learning everything there is for him to learn in the libraries of his parents and uncles and grandparents. He’s been allotted the opportunity to learn to fly at a young age, to learn to sail at a young age and to play quidditch at a young age. He’s even developed a love of various languages and before he reaches his Hogwarts years, Nathaniel will be fluent in English, Norwegian and Latin. More times then not, Nate can be found in the basement where he’s craved out a little reading nook for himself. It’s a place of solitude where he can be whisked away by the fascination of worlds within all the old books. He has, over the years, developed a love for learning and discovered he is a fast learner with whom the private tutors hired for him could not keep up and had to keep planning more advance learning plans for him in order to maintain his interest. He’s just too advanced for his age. When his older brother, Chadwick, began showing signs of his magic, there was talk of whether they would send him to Durmstrang or Hogwarts. Eventually, the decision to send him to Durmstrang was made. It did not last long. The dark arts were prevalent at Durmstrang and although they are a purist family with some extreme beliefs, they did not want Chadwick, or the other children, to be so exposed in such an open environment. By the time Nathaniel was ready to attend school, Chadwick was transferred to Hogwarts and Nate began his schooling. School Years || Nathaniel is sorted immediately into Ravenclaw. There’s not a moment’s hesitation when the Sorting Hat landed on his head. His curiosity, intellect, dedication to learning, cunning and ambition are all great qualities that have him sorted into this house. However, it’s immediately obvious with his professors that Nathaniel is the sort who will read ahead, learn spells above his year and advance more rapidly than his fellow first years. He’s clever and has a photographic memory that offers him a leg up among his classmates. He also cannot help but sprout out a lot of facts and begin long lectures which might otherwise annoy his classmates but because of his rather charming personality, and genuineness, it’s easy to befriend him and forget that he’s a bit of an arrogant arse when he knows he’s right or is fixated on something. By the time Nathaniel is in his third year, he’s doing school work out of the fourth and fifth year books and has already read a number of books in the library that he can reach. He spends more time in the library than he does anywhere else in Hogwarts, except for the Quidditch pitch with his brothers. The Kingsley name is a household name for brooms and people like to ask them for advice on which brooms are better. Nate has a vast knowledge of this because of his family business – he likes to help out. Nathaniel really has no interest in the pleasurable things kids his age enjoy – except Quidditch – and it’s apparently obvious to his Professors, his Head of House and the Headmaster that he prefers the company of adults he can learn from. He’s seen constantly helping younger students with their school work and eventually helping older kids with school work he has never even studied before but knows because he reads. After much consultation, it’s recommended for Nathaniel to take his OWLs with the fifth years and advance into his sixth year at the age of fourteen. Now, heading into his seventh year, Nathaniel is fifteen years old and about to graduate. He’s working alongside his Professors in order to plan for a future career in teaching. Adulthood || at least 100 words. |
