"Hey ho, let's go, Shoot them in the back now, What they want, I don't know, They're all revved up and ready to go."
From within the Gryffindor Tower the song Blitzkrieg Bop by the Ramones could barely be heard from behind the Fat Lady Portrait. At least until the portrait swung open and the music came barrelling out of the common room. Inside the room one might expect to find a party going on, instead, all they would come across is one particularly tenacious Gryffindor dressed like a Muggle. His blue jeans had both knees ripped out, a t-shirt with a band logo and he certainly looked like he didn't belong in the far older castle.
The youngster was currently standing in the center of the room and using his wand to place a The Who poster on the wall. Kipplin had figured that if he did it while no one was in there he could put a permanent stick charm to it and their Head of House would be unable to remove it. There for all the rest of time! Of course, it might have been a more subtle mission had he not put a record on the player and turned it up magically to blare throughout the Gryffindor Tower but he hadn't really thought about that.

Corwin was heading back from one mischief or another, a few books under one arm. As he approached the Fat Lady’s portrait he could have sworn he heard Muggle music blaring just past her. Well that was interesting. It was muffled but he swore he knew the tune and it was a good one. After speaking the password and entering he knew he was right. Blitzkrieg Bop was blasting through the common room and Cor was surprised that no one had shown up to bitch about it yet. Not the he was going to bitch. It was a fun song and he’d missed jamming out since the start of the year. Why was it that Wizarding folk didn’t have much variety in music to get absorbed in? It was truly a waste of potential he was sure. There was no reason magical types were any less musically inclined, after all. Though maybe it was pure blooded snobbery that was the real problem. God forbid they branch the fuck out in their interests. Walking right into the veritable wall of sound, Corwin couldn’t help but move with the music as he looked around for the hero of the day. He recognized Kipplin of course. He didn’t know the guy well but based on this display he really should rectify that. As soon as he was inside he was comparatively quietly singing along. Breaking his private sing along he said, “I like what you’re doing to the place!” in a voice measured to pitch over the music enough to be heard. Kipplin Harper

The poster he was putting up turned a little to put it slightly off-kilter and then Kip smacked it solidly to the wall. That sucker was going to be there until the end of time! Hopping down from the couch he grinned broadly up at it, so very out of place in the warm Gryffindor decor where everything was so magic-inclined. A little touch of the Muggle world to make the place more inclusive. Sure there were more Halves and Muggleborns here in Gryffindor but there were still plenty of magic only people who needed to be shown new things. A voice behind him is what got his attention away from the newly placed poster. Dark eyes swung about to look at his dormmate, Corwin his brain supplied, barely hearing what he was saying over his loud music. Any time now a prefect could come in and demand it to be turned down or their Head of House could storm in to tell them to quit the racket. For now though the music wasn't about to be stifled. Especially not if the current occupants of the Gryffindor Tower all enjoyed it. "Thanks! Thought this place could use some livening up! Do you know the band? If so we have to be friends."Corwin Lancaster
